Company profile - Frame Therapeutics is a young and growing start-up aiming for the development of therapeutic cancer vaccines. The company has been founded in December 2018 following the filing of patent applications on the use of neo-peptides derived from frameshift mutations in cancer as off-the-shelf therapeutic cancer vaccines. Recently, we raised funding for further development of the Frame technology by starting an R&D line and initiating a first clinical trial.
Your profile - We are looking for a strong, highly motivated and experienced bioinformatics scientist with at least BSc or MSc in bioinformatics and experience in genomics & bioinformatics analyses of large sequencing datasets, preferable in the context of oncology. The candidate should be fluent in one or more scripting languages, such as Python, Perl or Java (or similar languages), and be able to quickly visualize research data in the form of clear figures or plots. Furthermore, the candidate should have experience with high performance computing and Linux environments.
Your tasks - The bioinformatics scientist will work under the supervision of Frame Therapeutics’ Chief Scientific Officer. In the context of pre-clinical development, the bioinformatics scientist will analyse genomic data for key experiments to prove the efficacy of cancer vaccines in relevant mouse models for immunotherapy. Clinical trials further require extensive input from the bioinformatics scientist with respect to tumour genomic analysis, design of vaccines, and statistical analysis of clinical and immunological data. The work includes design of novel vaccine strategies and involves collaborations with relevant (contract) research partners (Universities, Medical Centers and Biotech companies). In addition, the candidate is expected to contribute to novel intellectual property to strengthen the patent position of Frame Therapeutics, as well as attracting funding for collaborative research projects.
Frame Therapeutics is an early stage start-up. Therefore, the work of the bioinformatics scientist may not only be limited to performing genomics or bioinformatics analyses. The ideal candidate is willing to contribute to or support other aspects important for the development of Frame Therapeutics, such as setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure and building website content.
Our offer - The position we can offer is for the duration of 1 year, with the possibility for an extension. We offer a competitive salary based on background and experience.
