 Opening: Chief Medical Officer

Company profile

Frame Therapeutics is a young and growing start-up aiming for the development of therapeutic cancer vaccines. The company was founded in December 2018 following the filing of patent applications on the use of neo-peptides derived from frameshift mutations in cancer as off-the-shelf therapeutic cancer vaccines. Funded by a private investment round, we have further strengthened the team with scientific, business, clinical and operational expertise. Our R&D efforts have led to the development of a revolutionary new cancer vaccine platform that will soon be tested in the clinic.

Your profile
To lead the clinical testing of novel Frame immunotherapies, we are looking for a strong and highly motivated individual with a (bio)medical background and experience with clinical oncological research and design of clinical trials in oncology. The candidate is expected to initiate, design and plan novel programs for clinical testing of Frame immunotherapies. A major part of the job is to seek interaction with academic and clinical partners and biotech and big pharma companies to develop novel programs for clinical testing of Frame immunotherapy and to design novel and effective immunotherapy strategies. The candidate should have a hands-on mentality and be able to communicate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

Your tasks
The Chief Medical Officer will be part of the Frame management team and work in close collaboration with Frame Therapeutics’ CEO and CSO. The Chief Medical Officer will be in charge of the initiation, design and execution of Frame Therapeutics’ clinical trial programs. Specific tasks may range from the management, planning, preparation and execution of therapeutic trials to various directly relevant activities concerning pharmaceutical product manufacturing and supply, compendium diagnostics, organisational, quality, regulatory and legal aspects. The clinical trials are conducted in close collaboration with academic, clinical and commercial partners.
In accordance with the spirit of our company as an early start-up, the candidate is available to contribute to and take part in other relevant related strategic and organisational activities beyond the design, initiation and management of clinical trials in the strict sense, such as the identification of novel partners and technologies, setup of quality management systems for processing of clinical samples or production manufacturing, attracting funding for clinical testing programs and contributing to novel intellectual property.

Our offer
The position we can offer is for the duration of 1 year, with the possibility of an extension. We offer a competitive salary based on background and experience. Possibility to participate in a stock option program is part of the remuneration package. Please contact Ronald Plasterk (CEO) or Maja Neuteboom (HR Officer) at info@frametherapeutics.com or +31 (0)20 237 4970 for further information or to apply.
